"Coordinating all of the people within the department to begin annual testing is complicated enough, let alone keeping track of incubators/plates/MFUs and the dates they all need to be checked. The kits we used before did not really mimic the actual compounding procedures we did in daily practice either. When Jeremy came out to show us the new kits, he actually was able to train me to be an administrator of the test which allowed us to complete testing on our schedule, which was very convenient. Probably the best part was not having to keep track of the plates or MFUs anymore! I was able to administer the test, assess sterile technique, give feedback, and keep the front end rolling. Jeremy was able to monitor the plates for growth and conduct identification of microorganisms should a MFU/plate fail. The test itself had an easy to follow diagram and after just the first day, I felt comfortable with the process and confident in administering it myself. This whole procedure has improved the quality of the annual employee competency testing here at our facility."

"With the ever changing rules and guidelines, testing can be confusing and stressful. ASAP has helped out with that. The convenience of the kit is fabulous. They provide you contact plates, a map of where to test, tape to seal the plates, and a shipping label to send it back for testing. You simply follow the directions, pack the items back up, then mail them back. After the results come back they send you a report with all the findings. On the report there is a summary of each plate and if anything grew. The plates are broken down into individual sections with a photo of that plate. Our Infectious Disease pharmacist loves the report because she can take it to monthly ID meetings to show that our rooms are clean and are not a source of infection to patients. This kit is awesome! I would recommend it to anyone in the sterile compounding field."
